House of Sushi was started by a team of athletes that got familiar with sushi when they traveled around the world for training and competitions. Each time that they went back home, they use to miss the healthy, delicious and delicate sushi taste that they got in love with.

Steinar Hoen, Hanne Haugland and Hakon Sarnblom decided to bring the food that they missed most from abroad to Oslo and in 1999 they opened one of the first restaurants in this segment in Norway.

Nowadays it is Håkon Sarnblom and Hanne Haugland who run this company with 3 houses and 20 employees. House of Sushi still has a strong connection with sports, being the proud sponsor of Ullerns women basketball team that was No. 2 in both NM and the series in 2007, and Hanne’s training group including one of the youngest winners in NM height Kjølv Egeland.

House of Sushi has been renowned for its excellent food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly stuff, and has the pleasure of use all its experience delivering healthy and fresh sushi, from the best ingredients, joined for a carefully chosen drinks list.
